an occasional journal wherein I write about my fascination with the color gray and sometimes add some photos.

Spanish Dancer Shawl
The fun is in the details. And seeing it being worn. This is probably the best color capture I've done on this project. I used eight skeins of Koigu and several lengths of US7 needles, 16" to 60". There were a few errors in the pattern but nothing that couldn't be easily deduced. I worked almost exclusively on this shawl for three weeks. I'm pleased.
Miles of ruffles before I sleep. Several days were devoted to doing the ruffle. But it was worth it.
Lisa loved the shawl and all the ruffles. (I guess I should have tidied the background before I took this one. Now all you people who never get to come inside can see why. Like I told you, I'm not a good housekeeper.)

Nice shawl. On the one with the messy background - what mess? My eyes are drawn strait to the racks and racks of yarn and refuse to look anywhere else! I just want to dig my hands into that stash and play...
Oh Larry, it turned out wonderful! No wonder Lisa likes it, it's really beautiful! Never mind housekeeping! Knitting is more important! ;o)
Lucky Lisa! I love the color on her....That, Larry, is not a mess....looks neat and tidy to me. What treasures are hiding in your bins????
Fabulous shawl! I love the ruffle.
There's a mess??
The shawl is beautiful and Lisa is doing it justice!
I do not see any mess, just that wall with all the yarn. Maybe you need an apartment with a spare room that you can just create into your own little yarn room. I like the shawl on your daughter too, it suits her well.
wow! look at that stash
like having your own yarn shop in your place - thanks for sharing your extra yarn for my Duulan knitting, Carolyn in NC
