an occasional journal wherein I write about my fascination with the color gray and sometimes add some photos.

I've said it before, I'll say it again
Orange you glad?
I'm not all that crazy about crochet but I do know how to do it. It's not something I talk about very often and I definitely don't want to teach it. But once in a while I see something that I like. Like this shawl from Knottie by Nature. It's called My Blue Jeans Shawl.
I had some Cascade 220 in stash that I thought would work and I thought I had enough. The pattern doesn't have precise information but I was pretty sure I could make it with what I had. It didn't turn out that way.
I was about half a skein short of what I needed. I couldn't find any in any of the shops around here but L to the rescue. She had a whole skein in her Cascade leftovers. It was a different dye lot but I can't see any difference.

That's really nice! I don't know how to crochet anything but a chain. I'm not all that enthused with crochet, either, but sometimes something crocheted catches my eye, and I wish I knew how to do it.
It turned out beautifully! And of course I like it because it's orange! :o)
Oh you should talk about crochet. I can crochet but it takes me a lot of time and I need a book in front of me to read how to do different stitches. Your shawl looks beautiful, and I love orange but it doesnt suit me unfortunately. Just one of those things I guess. I will just knit orange things for other people. I think crochet patterns are getting more fashionable though.
I am so ready for spring and you're just helping me along with your orange! I really like it!
Looks great! Always a fan of the orange!
