I think mine was more chunky than aran, but I could be wrong.<BR/><BR/>I knit legwarmers out of it, on my bulky knitting machine. Almost broke the machine, the yarn was too fat for it. (OK, maybe it was Aran since the machine prefers worsted or less). <BR/><BR/>Those legwarmers are bulletproof. They grew a lot (I hadn't reduced the number of stitches enough for negative ease) so I took a chance and tossed in washer/dryer. They don't look felted but they are even more windproof now... shorter, but not much narrower.<BR/><BR/>I predict you'll like knitting it and you'll like the warm authenticity of the sproingy wool.
